TURKEY TRAVEL DIARY

What a huge pleasure it was to finally be able to get back to Europe and Istanbul in July to visit our friends and suppliers. Working so closely with these creative people, to design and develop our range has resulted in some very close friendships, so we missed them greatly over the time of Covid.

Catching up with their family news and stories was a great delight and then, seeing all the wonderful development work on textiles they had been doing in our absence was hugely exciting. New fabrics, new techniques, new machinery, new methods of dyeing and even new yarns opened a whole plethora of new product for us.

Of course, not all of it is suited to our market and not all of it was in New Zealand colours, so there was a lot of work to be done transforming it for our market. Now that we are home and settled back in we are slowly seeing our new purchases arrive in the country , ready to go into the showroom . We are often found in the warehouse eagerly unpacking the latest shipment to see the delights we find inside.
